Never leave notebook unattended while charging

According to Apple’s recent battery recall for 1.5 million Macs and Dell’s battery recall for more than 4 million labtop computers. Dell said a manufacturing defect in some lithium-ion batteries supplied by Sony caused a handful to smolder and catch fire!

Now some airlines like Qantas has new rule for customers that carrying Dell So what is really going on? I read my sister’s blog the other day and found that my sister woke up by the smoke alarm, the first thing she did was checking on the notebook!

This world is crazy by what we call a technology that makes our live easier. Anyway, my point is: it is always a good thing that they recall those defect batteries and I just need to unplug my gear before leaving it unattended.

Weekend project 78% completed

My weekend project for BusAdm.com (Social Networking website) is now at 78% completed. It is one of the website that I used to manage 3 years ago. Now it returns.

Thailand and other 3 countries commit to 4 million Linux-powered OLPC laptops

“A spokesperson for the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) program revealed July 31 that the countries of Nigeria, Brazil, Argentina, and Thailand have each committed to buy 1 million Linux laptops through the U.S.-based program”.
